Dalmatian Jasper
“Dalmatian Jasper,” also known as “dalmatian stone,” is a popular decorative gemstone with a unique appearance resembling the spotted coloration of the Dalmatian dog breed.
The main chemical composition of Dalmatian Jasper is silicon dioxide SiO2. Its density varies between 2.6 and 2.8. Its colours are attributed to mineral inclusions; for example, its white color is due to granite and its black spots are due to amphibole and/or black tourmaline inclusions.
