 Labradorite is triclinic. Metaphysically it is said this crystal energy is about insight, ability to 'see' within.  It's also protective and helps to ward away negative energies when the emotions are overwhelming. The flash comes from within the Labradorite when it is moved about, the colour is not on the surface. In crystallography, the triclinic crystal system is one of the 7 crystal systems. A crystal system is described by three basis vectors. In the triclinic system, the crystal is described by vectors of unequal length, as in the orthorhombic system.
