2# Qabalah Tree of Life Baltic Amber Earrings
Hermetic Qabalah adheres to the Neoplatonic conception that the manifest universe, of which material creation is a part, arose as a series of "emanations" from the "godhead". These emanations arise out of three preliminary states that are considered to precede manifestation. The tree of life usually consists of 10 or 11 nodes symbolizing different archetypes and 22 paths connecting the nodes. The nodes are often arranged into three columns to represent that they belong to a common category. In kabbalah, the nodes are called sefirot.
